I think I've figured out so many of the problems I have with people, but mostly him.
I'm a huge advocate of The Five Love Languages. It is so crucial to all relationships. I've found that my love language is mostly words of affirmation. In a very close second and third though are physical touch and quality time. Even though acts of service and gifts are really low on how I receive love, I give love through acts of service. I really do. Please, please, let me help you! It's one of my strongest ways of showing I care.
Alex and I don't understand the other ones love language. I don't know what his love language is at all and he doesn't understand mine at all. He always rejects my attempts at service and I expect words and time that he isn't used to giving. It is a terribly frustrating circle. So many of our problems stem from that.
