The boy I'm crushiiiinnnngg on.

I may be a horrible person.. but I find this hilarious. Yes, yes, it's mildly inappropriate but given my upbringing, I'd say that I'm justified. ;)

The realization hit me today that those of you that are avid and devoted readers of this, my blog, and that don't know me outside of cyberspace probably think that for how much I rag on Alex that he's a jerk.
In honor of being mushy and infatuated here's Alex and what he's really like.

Alex. What can I say about this six-foot, blue-eyed, blonde Mormon boy? When I asked myself this question literally the first thing to come out of my mouth was a laugh. Haha. I’m not being mean, he just makes me laugh! He is so funny. Sometimes it’s a nerdy funny and sometimes it’s a “I can’t breathe I’m laughing so hard” legit funny. He's sweet and smart and caring and fun and crazy and just awesome.

The first night we hung out. After the dance where it started raining!

the king of silly faces
We first met in August at freshman orientation. Julie had texted me saying “I met this guy, Ethan, that is just like our Ethan from back home. You totally have to meet him.” So we planned to meet him that night at the movie at nine. By the time he came to meet us, her phone had died so I was texting him instead. We texted trying to find each other but instead decided to wait until the movie was over. Once it was over, Julie and I ran over to say hi. Ethan, the doll, had brought his friends Jenny…and Alex. Julie left almost immediately and I started in on introducing myself to these new friends. It was midnight and I was hyper and they seemed pretty cool. Jenny was pretty, Alex was a great conversationalist and Ethan was just silly old Ethan. They invited me to a volleyball game the day after, Saturday, but I wasn’t sure I’d go. After all, I’d just met these people. I hadn’t even made a first impression of them yet.

goofy kid ;)
I was pretty apprehensive when this Alex texted me saying they were going at six or something. Then they came. Time to make impressions. Jenny was pretty and super nice and I felt so comfortable talking to her. Alex was funny and kind of physically intimidating but was quiet at first. Once we got to the game he sat by me and we talked the whole time. Okay, this kid is cool.
ruined my picture! hahha.
We went to a dance afterward and oh my gosh, these kids are so cool. They were so funny and Alex was dancing so hilariously and I felt so comfortable. A slow song came on… Alex and I had our first slow dance together. I hadn’t known him very long so dancing with him felt borderline awkward, but I was interested by this point so it also felt nice. It started raining so we ran inside and went bowling. I think bowling solidified it; I had to know more about this guy. He was so fun and nice and exciting. The rest… is history. :)
just, ya know, loungin..
We have so much in common. We believe the same things, feel the same way about things, like the same things, dislike the same things. It’s scary. He makes me feel comfortable and happy. He makes me laugh so hard! I find him very nice to look at, haha, and I just love being around him. He and I aren’t perfect, and we communicate so badly. We fight a lot and we tease each other mercilessly. When things are bad, they’re bad. But more often than not, they’re good…and when they’re good, they’re great. So there’s how things really are with my boy. I am crazy about him even though I complain about him all the time. Don’t worry guys, I’m not dating a jerk, haha.

I rather like him, quite a bit. I don't care what you say or if you disapprove.
This is my Alex and I like it that way. :)
